Dog Training designed for your dog’s needs
Every dog and family are different, and we believe training should reflect that. That’s why, here at Sled and Breakfast, we offer our Complete Canine Consultation, a personalized 3-hour meeting with Christy, our Director of Training.
During this in-depth session, Christy will review:
- Her full Canine Behavior Workshop material – tailored to your dog and delivered directly to you
- Your completed questionnaire – helping her understand your dog’s behavior, your goals, and your home routine
- A customized treatment plan – created from your questionnaire and refined with you in a real time
This one-on-one consultation gives you clarity, direction, and the foundation needed for successful training. You’ll leave with a plan you can start using immediately, plus recommendations for next steps such as day training, private lessons, and group classes.
The goal of the consultation is to build a shared understanding between you, your dog, and your trainer so training is effective, purposeful, and completely customized.

Our top priority is to provide your dogs with a safe and fun environment to learn and play! This means that the dogs needs come first, then the owners. We will never force your dog(s) into environments, situations, or positions in which they are uncomfortable and show signs of telling us “no”.
Training is a partnership with your dog, and all about clear communication.
We start with positive reinforcement training and repetition. If other training methods are needed for a particular dog, we will discuss this with you before your training begins. We can customize our approach depending on your dog’s specific needs.
Training is for new puppies, and also for older dogs who would benefit from knowing basic cues (you CAN teach an old dog new tricks!)
Proper training makes you and your dog able to communicate with each other in a clear way, and allows you to keep your dog safe.
Training is an ongoing skill set for your dog. After their stay, we will communicate with you on how to upkeep your dog’s training and keep them engaged with their cue words.
